Kurti talks to Apostolova, citing state of emergency and visa liberalisation

The incumbent prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by incumbent European Integration Minister Blerim Reka and political adviser Jeton Zulfaj, held a video meeting with EU Office Chief in Kosovo/EU Special Representative Ambassador Natalia Apostova.
The conversation was held in anticipation of Europe's day note on 09st, May with Cʹrast, the prime minister has congratulated Ambassador Apostolova, recalling that the EU is a project of victory over fascism.
On May 09th, the Schuman Declaration marks 70 years of peace, social and human progress and state-friendly co-operation, making the European Union one of Europe's most successful projects.
“Voicing the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to carrying out important reforms for EU membership, the prime minister has also talked about the situation we are in. He stressed that the health crisis with COVID-19 has been well managed, proving that the demand for the state of emergency was unreasonable and has shown how the economy is gradually opening up by increasing defence measures”, said the communique.
Acting Minister Reka added that for the Republic of Kosovo, EU membership remains strategic orientation, and that it is requested by our citizens who see Kosovo as part of the EU and believe in the European idea. Hoping in a quick decision on visa liberalisation, incumbent Minister Reka congratulated Ambassador Apostolova for Europe Day.
Acting Prime Minister Kurti thanked the EU for helping to manage pandemic and pledge assistance in economic recovery, as well as for the constructive role the EU office has played in these months.
