Kurti hosted the Valdete Daka meeting, talk about elections in Podujevo

The incumbent prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti today, hosted Central Election Commission Chairman (KQZ) Valdete Daka at the meeting.
As the statement reports, this meeting discussed the functioning of this institution and the establishment of co-operation on issues related to Government. Although in time of pandemic, the CEC is willing to exercise its institutional public authority.
Daka announced to the incumbent prime minister, Kurti, that preparations for elections for the mayor of Podujevo, even though they have been interrupted, with the decision made on March 14th of this year, a day before holding elections, for failing to keep the CEC ready to hold this election process.
On the other hand, incumbent Prime Minister Kurti announced Daka's release of measures the Government is taking to COVIDD-19. Inter-institute co-ordination and respect of recommendations by the National Public Health Institute and the Ministry of Health by citizens have yielded their results.
Acting Prime Minister Kurti expressed his and Government readiness to strengthen co-operation with the CEC and the need our country has for democratic development of institutions through transparency and independence.
