Memli Krasniqi, deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly in a skype connection to the “5 questions from Babaramo”, has said early elections should be held in the country, even though in this period it is impossible to be held by the pandemic.
He said that if there is a trend of increasing the infected, these decisions will be reviewed and need to have a electoral reform.
“Every opposition party wants to bring down the government and go to the polls, but it is impossible in an election process due to the pandemic. We decided that the elections would be postponed that there were no conditions at stake in the lives of citizens”, he has indicated.
Asked by the director of the show, why elections have occurred in Serbia and Macedonia, he said Serbia should never be taken as an example, and that Macedonia has a problematic context that there are temporary governments.
We will vote against the government of Hoti, because we will continue to be opposition parties, even though they claim most have been confirmed. Albin Kurti destroyed the government because it was rotten within 50 days from within”, Krasniqi said.
Regarding Kurti, he said that as soon as he got into office, he started by changing ambassadors, even though he had not changed the mandate, the immediate resignation began, the dismissals of companies' boards that had been selected in contests, setting dentists dealing with water issues. “The dismissal of Agim Veliu proved a strong, disciplined hand within the government, in turn”, Krasniqi said.
He has indicated that they are required only to have no institutional vacuum. Regarding the agreement with Serbia, he indicated that even two years ago normalisation of reports between states was targeted. He added that there cannot be 100 per cent neutral in relation to their feelings.
