European Union Foreign Policy and Security representative Josep Borrell and his mandated office to mediate future talks between Kosovo and Serbia appear to do not rule out the idea of exchanging territories in case of an eventual agreement between the two sides, an option that Germany, some EU countries and the United Kingdom reject because of fears of new conflicts in the Western Balkans.
Borrell in an interview with media journalists from the Western Balkan region has said it is up to the two countries -- Kosovo and Serbia -- to decide what they will find out.
According to him, if the parties agree, “The EU cannot be with Catholic than Pope”, writes dtt-net.com.
Otherwise, days ago Borell has said that the Western Balkans will not be stable without a clear EU perspective.
In his speech to the Euro-deputees, he had said the lack of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was the most difficult issue in the Western Balkans.
