General Secret The PDK, Ismaili Bridge, has said that all acts of public life, but citizens should join to stop the authoritarian tendencies of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his ministers who tried and are continuing to threaten the democracy of the state of Kosovo by taking the Constitution and the law in their hands.
MP The PDK has written on its Facebook page that the Republic of Kosovo depends on citizen courage to protect democracy and constitutional order from the dismissed government officials showing authoritarian tendencies.
Full statement by Ismaili Bridge:
The Constitutional Court's judgments, in addition to proving constitutional violations of Kurti Government and Minister Arben Vitita, twice in a few weeks, are yet another indication of what is happening in the Republic of Kosovo and what is the approach of the leaders of institutions in this pandemic.
Two threats we saw during these days, one of Albin Kurti's for the Constitutional Court, which he told him will more or less take action against her if she decides otherwise, as well as the other by Jhelal Sfechla, who is all the time talking about how to arrest Behgjet Pacolli, broke out the authoritarian tendency of this government.
By violating the Constitution and finding an MP to live up to Kurti's plans to submit the Parliament to the Government, it is clearly showing that these people do not care about preserving democracy and do not tire of violating Kosovo's core as the Parliamentary Republic.
Making “mish for top” a political minority deputy, Jhelal Sfecla sends a signal to the Constitutional Court, but to others, that Albin Kurti's demands are indisputable and that they should only be implemented. Even if the price for this is violation of the laws and the Constitution.
It is our obligation, not only as deputies but as citizens, to stop the authoritarian tendencies of the prime minister and his ministers to take the Constitution and the Law in their own hands, as well as threats to individuals and institutions. The Republic depends on our civic courage to protect democracy and constitutional order.
