“This is a serious failure by the state health ministry institutions, which have responsibility for the health and welfare of the lives of citizens deprived of freedom of movement and confined to quarantine”, Idrizi wrote on her Facebook page.
Valdete Idrizi's full statement:
The most sincere condolences for the young man from Gjilan who lost his life today dramatically in the quarantine created at the Students Centre in Pristina.
This is a serious failure by the state health ministry institutions, which have responsibility for the health and welfare of the lives of citizens deprived of freedom of movement and are isolated in quarantine.
For days the media have released reports about suicide militants who have left quarantine prematurely, justifying their mental health problems.
While 26-year-old man from Gjilan who was dumped from the fourth floor today killing himself, he seems to have suffered from psychiatric or psychological disorder, but has not taken the specific care he needed.
In addition to citizens who have emerged from illegal quarantine, the media have also reported on a large number of citizens who have been repatriated from abroad but who have not been forced into quarantine, and that fact is suspected of double standards and selective selection.
Therefore, investigation is needed as soon as possible to make the event dark and bring responsibility to all involved officials, including political levels that have been responsible for correct quarantine management.
