Haradinaj: Some Europeans want to obstruct agreement with Serbia

Former Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is of the opinion that some European circles want to prevent a mutual recognition agreement with Serbia.

In an interview for Ora News, Haradinaj says the EU is powerless to deal with the border issue between Kosovo and Serbia, he even expresses surprise at the stance of Germany and Chancellor Merkel, who supports Josep Borell, who lets open the border issue.

“It is a desire to prevent an agreement from several European circles. Europeans once tried to attribute criticism to the Kosovo territory of Americans. It is now seen that Europeans, out of fear that Americans can speed up an agreement themselves, open up the possibility of discussing territory in order to create resistance to reaching a deal. Europe in the past made a big mistake. It left Mrs. Mogerini free hands to speak on behalf of the EU”, Haradinaj said.

The head of AAKA has also cited the idea of exchanging territories, saying such discussions have brought war.

It's amazing today that official Berlin is allowing Mr. Borell. Merkel was against the headphone movement and we take this, now I am surprised how Merkel allows the man who speaks on behalf of the EU to leave open the possibility of exchange of territories. This speaks of the EU's inability to tackle this topic successfully. The official Berlin was urged to declare that Borell and Lajcak are Germany and we supported them. It's irrational to me. How can official Berlin be in line with Borell, which lets open the issue of territories' borders. Chancellor Merkel and President Makron have to act with Borell the same way they did with Moghrin to get the topic of dialogue.

It is dangerous to allow continuing to address the issue of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, which has such tolerance. The tolerance of discussing the issue of border territories in the Balkans has brought war.
