On Thursday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that the country will reopen social spaces, such as museums and zoos, and that religious communities may be able to perform services again.
Since April 26, the level of those infected in Germany has steadily increased. It grew by 1,39 today, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 160,758, according to the Robert Koch Institute.
The current recorded deaths rose to 193, totaling 6,481 lives lost.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said yesterday she would reconsider the measures next week.
