The restaurants in Berlin are allowed to reopen from tonight for the first time in two months, and with weather forecasts looking good, they are projected to be very complete. Here is a division of rules regulating the new rate here in the gastronomy world, Reuters reports, broadcasts news.net.
Members of different families will be allowed to share a table, but should keep a distance of 1.5m from each other.
If there is a maximum number of people allowed for each family it is not specified. For those from a single family, distance rules do not apply.
Waiting staff are required to wear facial covers. The cooks and other kitchen staff who are not in touch are not bound to broadcast news.net.
Darkers are not required to wear masks, though recommended to do so. It is unclear how this is in harmony with eating and drinking, since sucking on masks is not recommended by hygiene experts.
While guests are not obliged to make bookings, the Berlin Senate has strongly advised restaurants to keep details of their guests' contact and keep them for four weeks in order to enable tracking in case of infection.
The odds are that restorers will soon be allowed to place chairs and tables in front of their spaces without having to get the necessary permission provided the sidewalk is quite wide.
