Children and young people can still learn at a distance again in the autumn, depending on how coronary pandemic develops.
Severe physical distance measures have been implemented in schools. The holidays will be extended to avoid many children at the same time outside the class.
Space in unused schools has been converted into classes to provide physical distance.
And to comply with epidemiological measures, learning in some classes begins earlier and for some later.
“I think we will focus more on social distance than on education, to make sure children are okay,” said teaching associate Johanna Mauno.
Earlier in the week, they were told that they were preparing laws that would allow schools to work from a distance if the number of patients increased in mid-August when children return to school.
Finland has about 550,000 students.
