The American Economic Oda of Kosovo (OEAK) seeks to implement measures by the Fiscal Emergency Package, including support for exporters.
The Ministry of Finance and Transfers from Pako Emergency Fiscal has earmarked 10m euros for export companies, which have been hit by pandemic.
The chairman of the American Chamber of Economics, Arian Zeka, in an interview for Online Economics, said the ministry must apply this move quickly to help exporters, due to difficulties in the global supply chain.
“in co-operation with OEK and the Council of European Investors have called for implementation of all measures that are involved in fiscal emergency packages for closing their implementation. Pako as such is planned to help companies and employees hit in this emergency phase in which the economy is going through. These measures should be implemented as soon as possible”, Zeka said.
Zeka stressed that these companies, in addition to being few in number, part of the factories have been shut down overall, and some have reduced payments for employees.
So he said that this measure should be implemented in this period, prior to the recovery package.
“is the measure of 13 which envisions the disbursement of 10m euros to export companies, this measure must now be implemented in this period due to difficulties in the global supply chain”.
Many of these have already faced a decline in demand and other operational difficulties, some of them reducing labour capacities. A number of factories have been shut down as a whole, some of them have reduced payments to their employees”, Zeka said.
Among other things, Zeka argued that if these planned tools are not addressed, companies' contracts and production activities are at risk.
The danger is that these companies will lose contracts they have or cease their entire production activity. A time when we have a high trade deficit and we need the state effort to be in their favour.10m euros are not much in support of export”, he said.
Furthermore, Zeka also commented on the Ministry of Finance and Transfers' declaration of delays in pay compensation as a cause of misappropriations, reports EO.
He says these tools should be disbursed because he is making a living and a cause of damage to the economy.
“We also had the announcement from the MF that not all means planned for pay compensation have been released so far due to misuse of businesses”.
“We think that it is necessary to obtain all the planned tools, as a large portion of the employees during this period have remained unemployed and the interruption of revenues for them and their living and causes damage to the economy in general”, Zeka added.
