Representatives of European Union member states will participate in this, as well as leaders of six Western Balkan states, including the Republic of Kosovo.

As far as the level of approach of Western Balkan states to this Sam is concerned, it is up to the countries of the region to determine where they will be represented.

Alain Taverrii from the European Council for Journal Express has said it belongs to Kosovo to confirm who will participate and has added that they expect President Hashim Thaci to proceed to Sam.

The “is up to each partner in the region to decide on what level it will be represented in video conference, and it is up to Kosovo to confirm the participant- we are waiting for President Thaci to participate”, has said exclusively about Gazette Express, Alain Taverrii, from the European Council presidency.

Tavari has also confirmed that three key issues will be discussed on this Sam, which will then be reflected in the summit statement.

“Agenda will focus on three essential elements that will be reflected in the summit statement: Co-operation on fighting pandemic and its aftermath, reaffirming European perspective support for the Western Balkans, and refocusing the continued commitment of the Western Balkans to the reforms and values of the European Union”, has ended the Taverrit for Gazette Express.

Days earlier, President Thaci has spoken about the Zagreb Summit, expressing happiness that it had not been cancelled and that it will be organised 6 May.

According to him, such Sam will be a good chance to reconfirm EU commitment and make a decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo
