Six new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours in Albania. Four are in Tirana and two in Shkodra. Meanwhile, 6 people have been confirmed healed in the last 24 hours, thus causing 79% of the infected to recover.

Dr. Eugene Tomini from the Institute of Public Health said the epidemic curve in Albania has been mild and stable. The deepening epidemiological investigation has shown daily fluctuation of cases in the past two weeks.

“Situate at the active hospital appears stable. Currently, 16 patients are being treated, while four are in intensive therapy. The number of confirmed positive cases across the country today has exceeded 1,000. More than 14,500 molecular and serological tests were conducted by the beginning of the epidemic. In our country currently there are 177 active people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Durres and Kruja. By the beginning of the epidemic about 79% of the affected are already healed. Unfortunately 32 citizens have not won the battle with Covid19, despite medical staff efforts”, she has said. / TCH/
