A new study found that Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, may originate with the combination of bats and pangolins. The findings strengthen the theory that the pangolins can be the moderator for the Sars transmission- CoV-2 in humans.

The study of South China Agricultural University is published in Nature magazine, and it says that pangolin, being the world's most trafficked mammal, could be a future threat to public health if wildlife trade is not controlled as they carry viruses similar to Sars-CoV-2.
