Belgium will not impose strict measures of isolation, as in the past two months, even if a second wave of the corruption spread is presented, said Belgium's Interior Minister, Pieter De Crem.
In mid-March, Belgium began implementing anti-coronavirus measures, allowing only the functioning of food stores and pharmaceuticals.
In May, however, this country eased several measures, allowing business openings.
Belgian minister said the severe measures of the impasse meant Belgian hospitals should not deny people medical care.
If there was a second wave, then I think we'd be in a different situation, with tests and contact trackings respectively. I think that now we can rule out a return to strict isolation measures” said De Crem.
Belgium, where the headquarters of the EU and NATO is located, has been among the most affected countries in Europe with 57.092 cases of new choreography infected, causing COVID-19, and 9,280 deaths.
The Belgium government will hold a meeting with regional leaders and economic and medical experts on 3 June to discuss a further easing of the restrictions.
