The beachmen returned to Nice's renowned beach, “Promenade des Anglais”, in the French Revolution this Saturday, after authorities decided to facilitate this measure for citizens since the total isolation of the Coronavirus that started in mid-March.
The decision to allow the opening of the beaches was only for the low-risk areas of the spread of pandemic, otherwise known as the “Zona of Gelbra”, in northern France and the Mediterranean part.
Still, new rules must be observed. Individual activities such as fishing, swimming or surfing are allowed, but taking sunlight or staying on the beach for hours are not allowed.
Interior Minister Christophe Castaner personally visited the implementation of these measures on the beach of “Vules-Les-Roses” in Normandy, where he said social distance rules should be respected rigorously.
“Virus is still around us. We must learn to live with him. A person can go fishing, but he can't lie on the beach for hours. We must all be responsible for fighting Coddy-19. If the rules are not respected, we will be forced to close the beaches” again, Minister Castaner warned.
