Not a single new case of coronarys has been reported in New Zealand today for the time of March 25 when severe isolation measures have been imposed there.
Health Directorate Director Ashley Bloomfield has declared during a news conference that this is a strong reason to celebrate.
He stressed the fact that the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in this country is only 20.
This is the first day not only that there are no new cases affected with COVID-19, but we also want it to remain in the coming days. It is the result of our” efforts, Bloomfield has added, Reuters reports.
In New Zealand during the past week, strict measures that had been applied for more than a month had been closing schools, offices, shopping malls, restaurants and playgrounds.
On the other hand, millions of students are continuing to learn from their homes, while certain sectors of the economy have resumed their work.
Bloomfield has warned that people must continue to respect social distance in order not to return the virus.
