Directors from the Islamic Community of Kosovo since 14 March have announced the temporary suspension of pardoned organised at Kosovo mosques.
In fact, from BIK time to time, orders have been made for all believers to follow the recommendations of responsible institutions concerning preventing the spread of the new coronary.
Even though Kosovo from May 4th has begun gradually facilitating isolation measures and started working a series of events, so far there is no other decision for prayer in mosques and believers cannot gather for prayer.
So the believers continue to fast, and they await if there will be at least a change in the prayer of Fiter Bajram and the religious ceremonies that follow the prayer.
Kosovo mufti Naim Ternava has spoken on the matter.
He told the FactePlu News Agency that there is still time to make decisions regarding the way Bajrami forgives and that everything depends on the situation that will prevail in the country.
He stressed that decisions will be prudent and that no action will be taken that endangers the general health of citizens.
“Anyway, we are in co-ordination and with the Ministry of Health, and we will see the possibility that now with the ease of general measures in Kosovo, which are already beginning to take some steps if there is even the possibility of reopening mosques and going to mosques. We will follow the situation and certainly nothing will act at the expense of Kosovo's general public health, but we will see how things work out in relation to the pandemic. That depends entirely on the situation, the infection, the dead. Our goal is to forgive him through the mosques, but we need to see how the situation will turn out”, Ternava said of FactePlus.
Several days have already passed since the start of Ramadan, and another 18 days until Bajram remained. This enables the Kosovo Islamic Community (BIK) to forward the situation created to make the decision to pray to Bajram.
“We have 18 days of Ramadan and we will be continuing to forward the situation, we will hold a meeting of the Islamic Community Headship and we will see the overall situation and take measures”, Ternava explained.
We remember that in Kosovo, on March 13th, the first two cases appeared as infected with Coronavisru. One day after the signing of the cases, measures were made on March 14 and almost everything was banned.
Since that day, the Islamic Community of Kosovo has announced the provisional suspension of forgivenesss organised at Kosovo mosques.
The Kosovo Islamic Union has received some recommendations regarding the overall situation that reigns in both Kosovo and the globe. For the purpose of the general health protection of all Kosovo citizens, the Islamic Community took its measures and certainly we have repeatedly called on citizens, believers to be careful and to heed calls, suggestions from the Islamic Community of Kosovo along with those of the Government, the Ministry of Health, WHO and all with the sole aim of having less infected and less dead. The ongoing Islamic Community of Kosovo is conveying the situation, of course this month of Ramadan has been slightly different than the next months, believers have not been able to go to the mosque to pray and make their worship”, Ternava indicated.
Meanwhile, during the month of Ramadan, many mosques have begun and broadcast prayers and other religious ceremonies online.
Despite the state, the month of Ramadan began April 24th. From that day, fasting Muslims must give up food, drink, tobacco consumption, and sexual relations from sunrise to sunset.
Taking into account the latest data, in Kosovo with Coronavirus a total of 855 persons have been infected, while the number of healed persons has reached 403, while there are 26 people who have died as a result of the coronary.
