ATK .incontacted 195m euros planned, Coronavirus cause

Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK) in this period of the year compared to 2019 will have a drop in revenues of 43m euros.

He has made it known in an interview for Online Economy, ATK director Ilir Myrtezaj. It further indicated that 195m euros in revenues have been planned for this period, but because of the pandemic they have not been realised.

Besides the negative impact on economies or on businesses we have, we have a negative impact on the investment aspect for the Kosovo Tax Administration. If we compare the same period between January 1st and April 23rd 2020 with the same period in 2019, we have a drop in revenues for about 43m euros, or exactly 42.9m euros”.

When we look at the trend we've had until March 18th, we've had an opening increase for 11.2, % reporting from 2019, or 3,62 % in relation to the plan. Then we should wait to get in for 62.5m euros more than we currently have, more precisely so far we had to have about 195m euros of revenues”.

Myrtezaj has indicated that even the delay in paying taxes from businesses by June 30th will affect the direct decline in revenues.

The March 29th “The finance and transfers minister has made a decision to extend the deadline for statements and payments for all types of taxes, and that decision ends on April 30th. While the finance minister has signed another decision that reduces the types of taxes for which the payment declaration deadline is extended, they only have to do with tax payments paid in corporate incomes, tax on individual incomes, and small individual businesses”.

And this decision lasts until June 30th, of course, will reflect on the inflow. But we expect the reduction to be smaller than it actually was during the month of April, because in March and April we had postponements for all types of taxes”.

Furthermore, Myrtezaj has said they have not yet predicted how the taxes, which were postponed until June 30th, will be collected, reports EO.
