Not even after nearly six years, investigative bodies have managed to track down the killers or assassins of the former candidate for MP from the Kosovo Democratic Party's ranks, Elvis Pista. In Gjakova's prosecution, they say the case remains a heavy burden, but that even after many taken actions, they have failed to make it white.
It was the midnight of June 15, 2014, when the former MP candidate from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Elvis Pista, was shot by gun in the yard of a restaurant called “Jaha Petrolx1>, in Rahovec.
Pista that night was celebrating the birthday of his wife, who was then also pregnant. He had also had two friends of the family who had their wives with them.
The wounds he received from the five bullets fired toward him failed to survive. He passed away on his way to Rahovez Hospital.
In the first days after the murder, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova had interviewed a total of 84 persons in the quality of witnesses and suspects, including his wife and friends, that night to whiteen the case but without results.
A few more days, six years from the day of the murder. But even after so many years, his murder continues to remain a mystery, since the investigative bodies have not yet managed to track down the killers or assassins of Pista.
The chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, Ali Selimaj, has told Gazeta Express that there is still no news about the case.
It claims that many actions have been taken by the prosecutor of the case, but that they have not resulted in success.
Much action has been taken by the prosecutor of the case in co-operation with the Department of Serious Crimes Investigation, but has not resulted in a successful”, he said.
Selimaj says this case remains the heavy burden of this prosecution and that they will most seriously handle any information they receive.

Meanwhile, Pista's family have pointed their finger at state structures and people from justice, charging that they are trying to stop making the case.
Elvis Pista's mother, Hidija, has indicated that they wanted the case to be passed on to the Special Prosecutor, but he said they were not welcomed for this request.
You know the case is handled by the Gjakova Prosecutor. With my daughter, Beatrice, we've been to Attorney Ali Ukaj to withdraw the course and send it to Special, but we're not welcome for this”, she told us.
According to her, someone is willing not to make the case white.
“Elvis on the 15th day of 2020 takes six years to kill. It's pretty clear that someone or some are stopping this case, starting with the Gjakova prosecution. On the other hand, we hired the family lawyer, Arian Koci, to convey the progress of the case against serious crimes, but even the lawyer has given him no room to have access to”, Elvis's mother declared it to the media a few months ago.
Elvis Pista, former deputy candidates from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, was considered one of the most successful businessmen from Rahoveci.
For a while, he had also worked in Kosovo's Post-Telekom. In the June 8, 2014, elections, exactly one week before he was killed, he had emerged as the second most voted person in Rahovec from his party.
