The Anti-Corruption Agency (AKK), each year, makes publication of property which Kosovo public officials declare.
And, this year, it has not yet been made its statement by institutions officials, which some are part of the executives of some of whom are part of the legislature, writes Arbres.info.
This time around, the blast of the wealth declaration is being delayed, the global pandemic COVID-19, why this agency has always published real estate, property inherited from family, cash and luxury cars, whose value reaches millions of euros, from officials in office.
The Anti-Corruption Agency has declared for Arbres.info, for reducing essential actions and essential staff to any public institution, besides health sector and security sector staff, will continue work based on public institutions' decisions and guidelines.
“Based on Government decision of the Republic of Kosovo No. 019, for undertaking additional measures after confirming the positive cases with Corona Virus COVID-19, for reducing essential actions and essential staff of any public institution, besides health sector and security sector staff, the Anti-Corruption Agency, in relation to its declaration of property has undertaken cross-proportional actions of public institutions”, has stated in its response this agency.
The Anti-Corruption Agency has also stressed that the term of property declaration is extended for an indefinite period, while for all changes, The AKK will long announce the opinion and public institutions.
“As for publishing property the law for property statements envisions the 60-day time of publishing property after the legal deadline ends in accordance with Article 13 paragraph 1 of Law No. No. 04/L-050, but take into account the current situation, the deadline for declaring property has been postponed for an indefinite period, while for all changes, The AKK will long announce the opinion and public institutions”, the agency's response reported.
Also, this agency, has announced all top public officials that because of the created situation, the AKK cannot accept the wealth declaration physically, but that the wealth declaration of all officials can make it electronic.
“On this occasion, the Agency against Corruption through contact points in public institutions has announced all senior public officials that because of the situation created, the AKK cannot accept the declaration of property directly (phisically), but, the declaration of property to all officials can do so electronically by sending to the AKK the forms of property declaration must be signed and sealed, said in its response.
