American biologist: I had a mask and gloves, but here's how I got infected with coronarys.

An American virologist who has always been cautious during his work ended up infected with coronavirus.

Joseph Fair expressed himself on the show TODAY, because he believes that coronavirus may have been taken through his eyes in a flight of many.

The 42-year-old biologist and epidemiologist, who has responded to numerous epidemics worldwide, became ill about three days after a flight to his home in New Orleans.

I've had a mask, I've had gloves, I've done my normal care routine... but obviously, you can still take it out of your eyes. And of course I didn't wear glasses during flight”, he said.

Virologist also explained that one of the three known ways of taking this virus are the eyes, while he added that we do not pay much attention.

“We tend to pay attention to our nose and mouth, because this is the most common route,” he said.
