The Kosovo Journalists' association with concern has reflected on the language used in a recent status of incumbent Deputy Minister of Defence and Self-Determination Movement member Enver Dugolli.
On May 8th, Dugolli has written such a status on his personal Facebook network -- “Picama depletion and despair of some “gasters” to create with each The victim's condition, in addition to indiscriminately, is offensive. It's incomprehensible when the medium falls into such traps to create at any cost “policy victims” even costing direct transmission from the police station... It's the impression of what could have happened... Journal that no joke...”
AGK strongly condemns the use of such language, especially when it comes from an individual who holds such a respected position whose word influences and shapes public opinion.
Journalists have the right to report, and it is their sacred duty to report this and not hide and manipulate as such. Journalists don't perform "piskama," they cover events of different developments during the day, and the case that Dugolli is referred to should not be left in media darkness, as he claims.
The AGK invites political officials and their political parties to distance themselves from such positions, which only undermine the work of journalists in Kosovo more.
