The daily number of victims from coronavirus in the United States has been on the decline, but 830 cases of deaths reported Monday have led to over 80,000 of them.
According to Johns Hopkins University data, the United States has 80,682 victims of coronavirus more than any other country in the world.
This country also has the largest number of infected people - over 1.3 million.
Recent figures come as several countries in Europe have further facilitated isolation measures Monday.
Even the governor of New York, the most hit American state, has said that reopening the economy there will resume on May 15th.
Andrew. Cumo said that the curve of new infected people in New York has dropped sharply and is now located at the level of March 20, when there have been some 520 new cases.
The World Health Organisation has reiterated on Monday that countries must have extraordinary “vigience” while facilitating isolation measures.
Worldwide, over 4.1 million people have been infected with coronavirus, and over 286,000 have died.
