The results of 70 samples to decide about the strain of measures are expected

Of the 14 positive cases with Avid-19 published last night by the National Institute of Public Health, nine are from the municipality of Gjilan. This has caused the municipal government to suspend work at the Pennsylvania Department at the Regional Hospital in Gjilan, since one doctor, two nurses and another worker have been infected with coronarys. In this municipality, they say the source of the infection is a nurse who works at a private clinic in Pristina, whose mother is part of the medical team in the Gjilan Bureau of Paddy.

The services of this department are being delivered to the Main Centre of Family Medicine, while the results are expected tonight for another 70 people who have had contact with the latter.

Gjilan municipality deputy head Arber Ismajli told Kosova Preis that the source of infection is a nurse who works at a private clinic in Pristina.

The “Source of infection is Pristina in this case, there is a private clinic or hospital, a nurse of the town of Gjilan is a worker of that clinic, and from its infectal infection and from the list handed over, and samples taken around 28 have been, nine have resulted positive. They're mostly positive samples of her family and they're positive samples of medical teams in the Paddy Department because her mother was part of the medical team. There are two sides of the infection that are exclusively linked to Pristina. Their state of health is good”, Ismajli said.

Some 70 samples have been taken in the municipality of Gjilan, and the results are expected in the evening, which also determines how to deal with the Paddy Department.

Ismaili says that depending on the results released tonight, there will be recommendations for restrictive measures.

It's a dose of fear because the list has increased today because we have two sides of the infection, it has had to take away samples of medical teams that have been part of Paddy, patients who have been in this medical department, and we've also got other samples, contact lists of the family of these nine affected, the list has gone to 70 today... We're waiting tonight for the number of samples, and tomorrow morning as a team, we're going out with final recommendations. We didn't want to enter any more tests until these contact lists were confirmed tonight as positive or negative”, he says.

He says that there were no patients in the Paddy Department and services from this department were held at the Main Centre of Family Medicine in Gjilan and other city and village centres.

And the director of Gjilan Regional Hospital, Nusret Hajrullahu, says that today the entire staff of Paddy has been tested, and that depending on the results that will arise, work reshuffle is expected in this department.

“Today, testing the rest of the medical staff and relief staff has been done, waiting for today's results and making a reorganization of the Paddy Service after the outcome of today's results... They are self-aware because of the expectations of the test results and because of the contact they have had with four resulting positive”, he says.

The suspension of work in the Paddy Department marks the first case in Kosovo to close such a public service clinic because of the choreography.

Currently in the municipality of Gjilan there are 58 people infected with Covid-19.
