According to data collected by Johns Hopkins University, at least 302,452 people have now died as a result of the explosion, news broadcasts.
The institution says it has counted 4,443,597 cases confirmed worldwide.
It is important to note that the actual death toll is believed to be much higher than the number compiled by government figures.
