The battle took place for three days and was one of the most glorious KLA battles.
The war that has been fought in the Lapusnik Gorge to control this area has been most important for the Kosovo Liberation Army, since it made Pristina's Pristina route impeable.
Lapusnik's neck was kept blocked for months, enabling KLA fighters to move free in a large part of Kosovo's territory, and this allowed it to be organised and supplied with weapons.
