The hospital where the first patient was treated is the first to have completed the entire 2,243 staff trial as part of a programme being implemented throughout the region. In addition to 296 staff members who had tested positive until May 8th, 77 were infected but had not shown symptoms.
The antibodies test program in Lombardy started on April 23rd. So far over 33,000 people have been tested, of them 25 thousand are members of the medical staff.
Lombardia is the region most affected by the Coronavirus in Italy and has marked nearly half of the national figure of 30,000.
On Saturday, Italy registered 194 new victims, while the number of cures went to over 103 thousand people, writes the Guardian”.
