Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselini has written about the organisation's latest report “Reporter without Borders” for the press freedom ranking, which points to an improvement in Kosovo.
Wessel has said Kosovo, despite the extraordinary challenges of statehood, has managed to build a free media reality better than many states that have life expectancy.
He has said that this fact is worth making known to those Kosovo politicians who, according to him, have tarnished Kosovo by speaking inside and abroad.
This is Wessel's writing on his official Facebook page:
The latest report by the renowned Reporter Without Borders for the press freedom rankings shows a further improvement this year with five countries of the situation in Kosovo, making much better than all the countries with which it is restricted. Media freedom is one of the fundamental pillars of the liberal democratic system that we have successfully built in these two decades of freedom.
We are proud that Kosovo, although with the extraordinary challenges of post-war reconstruction, of statehood after declaring independence, and of unequivocal efforts to consolidate our international sovereignty and subjectivity, has succeeded in building a free media and pluralistic reality better than many states that have far longer than ours.
This fact is worth special information about those Kosovo politicians and thinkers who have built their careers by denying, mistaking or ignoring Kosovo's great achievements is worthy of lying to those who have unjustly exposed and tarnished our state wherever they have spoken, inside and abroad.
