Last weekend, the Turkish government implemented a 48-hour restriction on 31 provinces, affecting three-quarters of Turkey's population.
And while government critics are calling for these kind of serious measures to curb the establishment of Covid-19, the initial result was catastrophic, reports CNN, broadcast news.net.
This curfew was announced just two hours before it went into effect, causing a purchasing panic in some areas as people turned into food stores and bread ovens with little care for the distance social measures.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned another restriction this weekend.
In dealing with the coronavirus, Turkey is defining its path as it does in many other ways.
Speciality for age: During the week, the command to stay home applies only to those under the age of 20 or over 65. All other citizens have theories that are allowed out.
Small businesses are closed, construction sites are open: Although many small businesses are closed, restaurants are open only for distribution or takeover, public places like parks are out of bounds, and banks have limited hours.
By contrast, construction sites are under way, along with factories and other businesses that are unwilling to receive an economic shock.
Some experts say partial restrictions like Turkey can be successful as long as those who are vulnerable continue to protect themselves and those who make enterprises follow appropriate measures.
