South Korea has not reported any victims from Covid-19 for the first time in 40 days, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, (KCDC).
The country also recorded a fourth consecutive day of new one-digit cases, suggesting a possible slowdown in the explosion, CNN writes.
So far there have been 240 victims in the country and 10,708 infected have been registered.
According to the CDC, fewer than 2,000 of the infected are active cases, where most of the infected patients have recovered.
The South Korean government has been among the most ambitious for mass population testing.
