The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, began consultations with political parties represented in the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament on steps to overcome the new political situation created following the motion for distrust of the government.
During Wednesday, Thaci hosted separate meetings the chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, at the same time prime minister in his resignation, Albin Kurtin, LDK chairman, at the same time former prime minister, Isa Mustafa, as well as PDK chairman, former Kosovo Assembly Chairman Kadri Veselin.
The head of state has asked political leaders what steps they see as a way out of the new political situation, but always given the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 virus.
President Thaci will continue consultations with other parliamentary parties today.
He will expect AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj, head of the Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakic, as well as representatives of the 6+ parliamentary group.
After completing consultations with political parties, the president says he will take steps in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, with the laws in force, taking into account the responsible experiences and procedures, but also considering the political will expressed by political parties.
