On the day 71 years since the North Atlantic Treaty, NATO's legal foundation base, the country's president Hashim Thaci, entered into force, has thanked this alliance for helping Kosovo in 1999.
President Thaci, through a Facebook post, has said NATO's military intervention in Kosovo has ended systematic violence against the people of Kosovo on the part of the Milosevic regime.
However, Thaci has said reaching an agreement for mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia is a necessary step that accelerates the agenda.
