Interior Minister Jelal Svecla's task adviser has spoken about the security situation in Kosovo following the government's deployment of new measures.
Svechla at RTV Dukaagjini says that during the first day of implementation of new measures there has been no serious problem.
“generally citizens have welcomed these measures, and the Kosovo Police are implementing them”, he said, submits Telegrafi.
The interior minister's task officer says these measures will remain in force until 4 May, but adds that re-evaluation of the situation will continue.
“We are aware that these measures are not easy, but we have limited capacities of health facilities, and this remains the only way to prevent the escalation of the” situation.
Svechla says that when this government came in, stores of health materials were found empty.
Many countries today have made decisions not to allow the export of medical materials, such as” masks.
The interior minister's task officer says Kosovo police currently continue working for 12 hours, and in addition to additional payments of 300 euros a month will receive compensation for the files and risk payment.
