According to him, if the measures taken by MSh will last even after May 4th, by the time these measures are envisioned, there will be difficulties in managing jobs.
“In the broad aspect of security the Kosovo Police are overloaded because they are competent to implement in terms of movement or limiting free movement and this is an additional burden for the police, really difficult to manage whether this period will last longer. As envisioned with the health ministry's decision «these measures will be until May 4th, but I think that by May 4th they are possible, but if it's entirely up to the trend whether it will be on the rise or eventually on the decline, so this trend of the infected with the possibility of expanding to other municipalities”, he said.
Ibishi said the Kosovo Army on the basis of the Government's decision has raised the degree of readiness and can only engage at the local level.
“The KSF thus, under the Government's decision, has raised the degree of readiness to normalize, not as if the state of emergency had been declared. However, referring to laws involving preventing and fighting infectious diseases and the Health Law. However, only in the local sense not entirely and normally support all this commitment especially in terms of security, especially in terms of issues as well as as co-operation with the Kosovo Police, but also in cases why not with KFOR”, he said.
He has also talked about the situation in northern municipalities in quarantine, until he stressed that security measures in the country's north are satisfactory and the security situation is calm and stable.
Anything positive is what we're referring to, Mr. Health Minister. The year, which itself announced the state of emergency or quarantine to the two municipalities in the north, has been made at the suggestion of the Ministry of Health that is positive. However, it is good to continue phytosanitary controls at border crossings, but problem remains the issue of implementing other measures that actually not only in health. But even the functioning of crisis headquarters in the northern part and how they become more functional in the sense of taking the conform measures of central crisis headquarters, as well as the MSHPK. I think it will be more necessary or more insistent to be with the presence of mobile teams there and the Kosovo Police implement measures as they are seen in some Kosovo municipalities”, he said.
In Kosovo there are 387 people infected with COVID-19, while 9 people have died. As preventative measures to spread this pandemic, the Health Ministry has made a decision to limit the movement of citizens, which can emerge once a day for an hour and a half. These measures have entered into force today.
