Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted sharply to the recent decisions the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has undertaken in connection with the 100 per cent fee.
This announcement says manipulation with the tax issue is continuing in Pristina. Also, Kosovo reportedly is forcing Belgrade to put the name of the Republic of Kosovo on goods, thus indirectly making Serbia accept Kosovo as a state.
Political Science Professor at the University of Pristina Ardian Kastrati, this Russian reaction is seeing as normal, since it considers that a possible agreement between Kosovo and Serbia would leave Russia without allies in the Balkans.
Russia is afraid that eventually an agreement is reached. And tomorrow it happens, therefore Russia is excluded from the Balkans. It is excluded because it has remained exclusively linked to Serbs and Serbia. All other Slavic peoples have turned their backs on them”, he said.
In a statement to Kosovo Preress, Professor Kastrati said that despite the demand for tax removal, on the part of Russia, it is the same as that of the International Community, the goals are different.
The “in other ways has Russian demands for tax removal, other Western partners. Despite the same demand, their intentions stand out.
In fact, the Russians in this case have completely ignored the subjectivity of Kosovo and institutions, using irresultative terms. These are the Russians -- they don't offer solutions, they're firing gas. The smoke of this fire makes them here!
