US President Donald Trump has proposed using disinfectant in the body of coronary patients, raising criticism from doctors.
US President Donald Trump has been criticised by the medical community for suggesting that the Coronavirus can be treated by injecting disinfectant into the body, reports the BBC, broadcasts news.net.
He also seemed to propose beaming bodies of patients with ultraviolet light, an idea rejected by a doctor at the conference.
Another of his officials had said that sunlight and disinfectant were known to kill the infection.
What did President Trump say?
During the White House Coronavirus conference, an official presented the results of the American government's research that showed that the coronary appears to weaken faster when exposed to sunlight and heat.
The study also showed that bleaching could destroy the virus in saliva or respiratory fluids within five minutes, and isopol alcohol could kill it even faster.
While noting that the search should be carefully addressed, Trump suggested further research in that field, news broadcasts.net.
So, assuming we hit the body with an extraordinary light -- whether ultraviolet or simply very powerful light”, the president said, addressing Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator of the White House coronary response, “and I think you said this was checked, but you'd try it.
And then I said, assuming you brought the light into your body, which you can do either through your skin or in some other way. And I think you said you'd try this one. Sounds interesting, the president went on.
And then I see the disinfectant where he wipes it out in a minute. One minute. And is there any way we can do something like that, with injections inside or almost cleaning? So it would be interesting to check this”, Trump said, broadcast the news.net.
What is the response?
Doctors warned that the president's idea may have fatal results.
Pulmologist Dr. Vin Gupta said about NBC News: This notion of injecting or devouring any kind of cleaning product in the body is irresponsible and dangerous.
It's a common method people use when they want to kill themselves”.
