According to Selmani, the number has fallen for 100 more prisoners since the appearance of this pandemic in Kosovo.

Sleman indicated that in just one day, the total number of prisoners reaches 1661 in all correctional institutions.

Selmani further said that people who were imprisoned in pandemic time were not tested until they had no symptoms.

Kosovo's corrective service, due to the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus by the Government of Kosovo, had announced that all family visits through all correcting institutions and those of detention would be interrupted.

However, the SKK has enabled prisoners to receive more frequent phone calls from virtual communication via SCYPE.

In this regard, Selmani says that this kind of communication is continuing and is a relief even to prisoners, since they can speak and see their family members.

“Communification is going on and it's extremely good, it's a great relief for inmates who can even talk to family members and see if they have a choice until there's this”.
