Podujevo municipality shares 125 thousand euros for needy families

Also at this meeting, as shown by this municipality, several other decisions have been made, both for the release of municipal taxes to all business subjects and the decision to issue rent for all municipal property users for 2020.

The Podujevo Community Assembly adopted several decisions, such as measures to prevent COVID-19
The Assembly of the Podujevo municipality, at the extraordinary meeting, in terms of measures for preventing and combating Coronavirus COVID-19, has approved the decision to divide financial means to many 125,000 euros, help citizens with food and hygienic packages; the decision to free municipal taxes of all business subjects that exercise activity on the territory of the Podueva Community for 2020; and the decision to release the lease for all citizens of the Communist property for 2020.
The Assembly of the Podujevo municipality has held extraordinary meetings, which led by Mayor Fatmir Gashi, including the municipality's deputy chairman, Nedmi Rudari, and directors of directors.
The municipality's deputy chairman, Nexmi Rudari, presented an information on activities, measures and management of the situation by Coronavirius COVID-2019. He said that by March, when the first case of those infected with this virus has been established the municipal Commission for Action and Prevention and Protection Measures by COVID-19 .
Deputy Chairman Rudari cited actions undertaken in preventing this virus, saying all necessary preventative measures have been taken by health institutions, police, municipal inspectors and other organs, confirming the recommendations of IKSHP, the Health Ministry and Government decisions.
“For managing the situation and taking preventative measures against COVID-19, so far the municipality has earmarked 237,000 euros”, Deputy Chairman Rudari said, noting that 44,000 euros have been allocated so far in providing protective means for health personnel, while for disinfecting facilities and public spaces, as well as homes in villages where cases have been presented with infected, 94 thousand euros have been allocated from the municipality budget.

Deputy Mayor Rudari also thanked the many donors, who in this pandemic situation have helped families with social distress, with special focus on the three villages in quarantine.
“A special thanks to the many donors, volunteers and workers of the Kosovo Red Cross in Podujevo, as well as to all citizens who have been careful and disciplined in implementing the orders and regulations of the IKSHP, Police and Emergency Staff at Podujevo”, said Deputy Chairman Rudari.
After the discussions, at today's extraordinary meeting, the Assembly approved the decision on sharing financial means to a lot of 125,000 euros, assistance to citizens in need with food and hygienic packages;
-The decision to free the municipal tax of all business subjects that are active in the Podujevo municipality territory for 2020 as well;
-Providing to free rent for all Communist property users in 2020.
