German Authorities Say Four Suspects Arrested as I Members SIS, who were planning to conduct an attack on US military bases in the country.
Federal prosecutors said the suspects were arrested Wednesday morning at several different locations in the North Youth and Westphalia Lad.
Persons were identified as Azizion B., Muhammadadali G., Farhodsoh K. and Sunatullock K., all citizens of Tajikistan, but their names were not made public for privacy reasons.
German weekly “Der Spiegel” reported that the group's leader, a 30-year-old also from Tajikistan, identified as Ravsan B, was in prison last year on charges involving firearms.
Prosecutors said all those arrested had joined I SIS in early 2019 and had important contacts within the group ranks.
Initially, the attack was reportedly planned to take place in Tajikistan, but later the target was changed, becoming Germany, the US air base there and the persons who had criticised Islam.
