Saudi Arabia on Tuesday paved the way for legislation, which cancelled Hadzi's pilgrimage for this year, calling on pilgrims to postpone travel preparations and bookings due to fears of the body's pandemic.

About two million people visit Mecca to perform the pilgrimage, which happens this year to begin in July.

But the plans [of the pilgrimage have been put on hold since the Saudi kingdom recorded 1,563 cases of Corleone and 10 deaths.

Like many countries, Saudi Arabia has strengthened an impasse and a curfew in an effort to contain the explosion, so access to the sacred cities of Mecca and Medina is severely restricted. Riyadh has already suspended Umren.

Although Hagi has been canceled several times over the centuries, since the founding of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom in 1932 there has never been a year absent, not even during the 1917-18 Spanish flu pandemic that killed millions of people worldwide, the message is broadcast.com.

But if Saudi Arabia gives up Haxhi of 2020, this will be the 40th time that one of the pillars of Islam becomes impossible to achieve.

Look at the pilgrimage when it has been set aside.

Year 865: Massacre on Mount Arad

During his conflict with Baghdad-based Califat Abatid, Ismail bin Yousef, known as Al-Safak, launched an attack on the holy mountain of Arafat, slaughtering pilgrims there. This attack forced him to suspend the pilgrimage.

930: Tscmatian Attack

In 930, Abu Taher al-Janabi, chief of the Bahrain - based Heterodox sect, launched an attack on Mecca.

Historical stories say the Carmatians killed 30,000 pilgrims in the holy city and threw troops into the sacred well Zamzam. They also stole the Great Mosque and stole the Black Stone from its Temple, taking it to the island of Bahrain.

Hadzi was then suspended for a decade until the Black Stone returned to Mecca.

Carmatians were a Shiit Ismaili sect who believed in an Egyptian society and considered pilgrimage a pagan ritual.

983: The Caliphates of the Abbas and Fatimids

Even politics has, in some cases, suspended Hadzi. In 983 the political disputes between rulers of the two Halfs ʹbasids of Iraq and Syria and the Fatimids of Egypt blocked the way of Muslims traveling to Mecca for pilgrimage. Eight years would pass until Hagi was again held in 991.

1831: Pestilence

Not only conflicts and massacres have canceled Hagi. A disease coming from India hit Mecca in 1831 and killed three quarters of pilgrims there who had endured weeks of travel through dangerous and barren lands to carry out Hadzi.

1837-1858: The Seri epidemics

In a space of nearly two decades, Hagi stopped three times, leaving pilgrims unable to go to Mecca for a total of seven years.

In 1837 another epidemic struck the holy city, leaving the pilgrimage canceled until 1840.

Then in 1846 an outbreak of cholera struck Mecca, killing more than 15,000 people and plagueing its inhabitants until 1850. Its expansion declined to a large extent between 1865 and 1883.

In 1858 another global cholera pandemic arrived in the city, causing Egyptian pilgrims to flee to the shores of the Red Sea of Egypt, where they were kept in quarantine.

It remains to be seen whether the Devi-19 epidemic will make this unique event in the lives of Muslims cancelled, at least this year. /Message
