Good news: By half of May the situation with COVID-19 will relax

Infectian Valbon Krasniqi has indicated the reason for the increase in the number of infected in Kosovo during the past week, as well as the time when the conditions with the coronary will relax. Krasniqi said it is expected to increase the number of infected people with COVID-19, in addition to increasing the number of tests that are [...]
Krasniqi said it is expected to increase the number of infected people with COVID-19, in addition to increasing the number of tests being conducted at the Kosovo Public Health Institute.
It is true that the number of infected in the last week, along with the number of tests that were done last week, has similarly increased by the number of people who have resulted positive and this is expected”, Krasniqi said, for the telegraphy.
Krasniqi said it must be taken into account that Kosovo is located in the sixth or seventh week of pandemic, while stressing that it is difficult to find all cases of contact.
This is also expected because Kosovo is in the sixth, seven and eight weeks. Let's not forget that Kosovo had the first cases on March 13th, while that's the date they were confirmed, so they were found positive. It's difficult without accurate information, in terms of that that in contact cases, even though the number of tests has increased, it's very difficult to predict exactly the performance of pandemic and the time when we will have the greatest number. But what we're seeing is that this week we've had the largest number of infected people, and maybe we can expect a large number of infected persons this week, Krasniqi said.
It is very important for citizens to know that only up to 25 percent of the infected may need hospitalization.
And about 600 are infected and only 120 have needed treatment at the Infectious Clinic, which is important for citizens to know how many of those infected need to be admitted to the hospital. This accords with statistics in other countries, where some 20 to 25 percent of infected patients can develop diseases and need hospitalization”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi said that exits from homes can only be done if the virus behaves with the same characteristics as in other states, and if preventative measures are respected.
He cited the second half of May as the time when it may be offered to be more relaxed in terms of going out.
This depends on the behavior of citizens. The cases now confirmed are the result of citizens' behaviour two weeks ago, while the way we will now behave as citizens will be reflected at the end of April, eventually early May. If the virus is to behave with the same characteristics as in other countries, and if we as citizens respect the recommendations to avoid contact with other family members, it is natural that maybe in the second half of May we can breathe more freely, I'm saying once more that depends on the behavior of citizens”, Krasniqi said.
Even though Krasniqi said a clearer mirror for the pandemic situation could be shared by the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, he, as climateists, said it is logical to expect to relax the situation in the second half of May.
We, as climateists, would like to see a response as soon as we can. We wait and it's logical to wait for May to find us more relaxed, we have to work hard to make this happen, not just us, but the field teams, but the citizens. The more we respect the measures, the more we avoid contact with others outside the family, the easier we will be able to get through this”, Krasniqi said.
