LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa has commemorated those executed in the Meja massacre and missing in Kosovo.
“Today is the International Day of Extinction, and for Kosovo it is still a serious wound now of over two decades. Currently, there are 1641 missing persons throughout the country whose family members are anxious about their fate”.
The 1999 resolution has undoubtedly been the most serious in Kosovo's history. In this season Serbia launched recent efforts to undo Kosovo's people by executing thousands of children, women and men. He committed terrible crimes against humanity, destroyed, burned and expelled a people from their homes”.
Mustafa has stressed that it is heavy that many families who 21 years after the war in Kosovo, unfortunately the graves and remains of their most beloved still do not know.
This day also coincides with the Meja Massacre, which is one of the most monstrous crimes of Serbian forces over the Albanian civilian population. Over 376 men have been killed in this massacre. “Tresponsion line” is filled with graves of women, burs, children and elderly people who were not spared”.
“Massacre of Meja and many other massacres in Kosovo are evidence of Serbia's crimes that were committed in our country”.
All these events shocked the human conscience of the civilized world and exceeded any limit. Serbia must return the remains of the missing and the perpetrators to justice”.
