Mollyqa: VV is behaving as if Kosovo's north is not part of us

Molliqaj has said that disturbing is the fact that Albin Kurti and VV did not say a word about it. “This party that eagerly promoted the idea of uniting Mitrovica -- ideas on which it has grown politically and by votes -- today chooses silence in the face of the harmful actions of Serbia”, Moliqaj wrote.

Northern Mitrovica, along with other municipalities in the north, entered quarantine due to COVID-19, not Kosovo institutions, but by direct command from Belgrade. It is the direct violation of the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, therefore, and it is unacceptable.

What's even more disturbing is that Kurt and VV didn't say a word about it. This party that zealously promoted the idea of uniting Mitrovica -- ideas on which it has grown politically and by votes -- today chooses silence in the face of Serbia's harmful actions. The VV is now behaving as if Kosovo's north is not even part of us, as if the government led by them has no obligation to take action to prevent the integrity of Kosovo's sovereignty and on the other hand is trying at any cost to sabotage dialogue with Serbia, which could eventually stop these Serbian actions.

Such conduct of Serbia is dangerous. Under COVID-19's coat of clothing, exploiting citizens' fears, Serbia is increasing its influence and authority over northern municipalities. We need a permanent solution against Serbia, therefore, and we need to start negotiations to reach that solution quickly. Otherwise, with Serbia's actions and Kosovo's inaction, we cannot be called independent or sovereign.
