With the lighting of holy fire and the reading of “The Lord's Prayer”, today, has been held the Easter Mass at St. Mother Teresa Cathedral in Pristina.
Don Lush Gjergji led the celebration of this mass, where prayers have been sung in this case dedicated to the situation created with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jon says that with her mind and heart she joins the prayers of many believers who seek God's presence and love.
And so do we, a mind and a heart, united under these circumstances that our world and the world around us, seek God's presence and love. We ask the Lord for peace and reconciliation, we seek from the Lord that man and mankind accept and live by the command that he has sent and given us, that is, with Christ and ours and under him, and our sister St. Teresa with our minds and our voices «and we also pray”, George says.
He thus exhorted all people not to surrender to the Coronavirus but to hope and pray.
Among other things, George made it known that the Passover is celebrated worldwide today, all to testify before himself and others that Christ has been resurrected.
Even when we find it gloomy, even when we are threatened and endangered as it is today, we should not tire out, we should not be exhausted, nor should we despair, but as St. Paul would say, let us hope against any hope. Today this day is celebrated worldwide, and this great event of Christ in our lives, our changing lives to witness before ourselves and others, but Christ has been raised... Today more than ever, not only do Christians and Catholics but the whole world needs a hope, and hope, as Pope Francis puts it, has a name and it is Christ”, Gjergji says.
The Easter festival is the central day of the Catholic Church and of all Christians with whom Catholic believers commemorate and celebrate the sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
