A police lieutenant from the Gjilan region last night ended up in handcuffs at the Police Inspectorate.
IndexOnline's sources within the police have said that the police official, outside of official office, had been at a casino in the village of Karacheva, located at the Kosovo-Serbia border belt.
The lieutenant was initially detained by his colleagues, while IPK officials, who later arrested the suspected lieutenant, were immediately notified.
The IPK media office has confirmed the case, where, according to them, police Inspectorate investigators were reported yesterday evening by police over suspicions that an official outside of official duty (at the Lieutenant's rank) has ignored orders based on government decisions concerning the RS independence 19.
After receiving the information, IPK investigators have come to the scene and contacted the supervisor.
The alleged “Person in this case, the police official, has been arrested by the Police Inspectorate on suspicion of having committed criminal work “indiscretion according to health conditions during the outbreak”, while with the prosecutor's decision the measure of the ban has been imposed for 48 hours, and has been suspended by duty”, the IPK report said.
Further investigative actions in this case will continue by IPK investigators in continued consultation with the prosecutor responsible.
Otherwise, it has been several months since the legislature adopted the draft law banning the games of fate throughout the country. However, in the village of Karacheva in Kamenica, which is located in the border area with Serbia, such activities are being conducted illegally.
