Removing reciprocity will be one of the first decisions the LDK has warned will take in case it is granted the right to form the government.
With this stance of Isa Mustafa's party, the AAK is agreeing that, in all likelihood, would be the Democratic League's main partners in the coalition.
Kosovo's incumbent government is constantly calling for the removal of reciprocity measures with Serbia, so that conditions can be created for Pristina and Belgrade to sit at the negotiating table after nearly two years from when the dialogue is pending.
However, the government in the resignation, which has made the decision on reciprocity and on tax removal, have declared such a move will continue to remain in force.
By contrast, the head of the government in office is declaring LDKA, which will most likely form the next government.
The leader of this party, Isa Mustafa, has declared the first decision the government created by the LDK would be lifting reciprocity. The chief of the Democratic League said this move would continue with full trade, economic and political reciprocity if Belgrade does not remove obstacles to Kosovo.
But, they agree with this stance of the LDK, even those who will likely be the future partners of this ruling party.
The Express newspaper today has contacted AAKA deputy Pal Lekaj, with whom he has discussed the Alliance's stance concerning the removal of reciprocity warning.
Lekaj has said that Albin Kurti, the head of the incumbent government, is the one who has made a mistake by removing the tax and playing in words about reciprocity.
The position on the tax has been very clear using it as an instrument for economic and political empowerment. Many have said KM Haradinaj will suspend the tax in a few weeks, but he kept it until he resigned. Now KM Kurti made a fundamental mistake by removing the tax and playing in words for reciprocity”, he says.
Lekaj has said that Kosovo's citizens should not direct their finger has the Alliance on this issue, because the wrong decisions on this subject are made by Kurti.
Kosovo's “People should not point the finger at the Alliance on this subject, as Kurti saw no need took the wrong step about tax and reciprocity. That's making reciprocity unclear. The tax ruling also held reciprocity. For AAK the tax had never been removed”, he declared.
The Democratic League of Kosovo has already received the approval of the party Council for a coalition with AAK, the Initiative, AKR and minority.
The leader of this party, Isa Mustafa, said today that they are awaiting President Hashim Thaci's call to discuss the name for the mandate.
