Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has today called political party leaders to meet to discuss the situation about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although Kurti has warned this meeting, some political parties have already indicated they will not participate.
The Democratic League of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo have indicated they will not attend this meeting.
Former deputy prime minister from the LDK ranks. Avdullah Hoti has spoken to the table called by the prime minister in office, saying his government has numbered days and that twice violated the Constitution.
“Vlerating that there is no need for a political table with a government that has numbered days, and therefore can't make any commitments, and that twice breaks the constitution. Measures for restriction of movement were taken without consulting anyone.
While I was in the government, I personally asked them not to sign that decision because we had doubts about constitutional violations. Even after the Constitutional Court's trial, this took measures contrary to that act and measures for support for businesses again without consulting anyone, Hoti said.
Even the AKK has refused Kurt's invitation.
AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj, in a letter, has cited Kurti's refusal to declare the state of emergency because of his political struggle.
Haradinaj has said the state of emergency would mobilise all of the country's resources in service to cope with the crisis.
But according to him, Kurt has taken false steps and violated the country's Constitution in a recidence.
He has said I will not participate in the meeting called, because Kurt's invitations are delayed in time and conveyed by an institutional and democratic legitimacy lack.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) still has no stance regarding incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti's invitation to gather at a discussion table regarding the situation created by the COVID-19.
This party's MP, Blerta Deliu-Codra, at a media conference, has said that once a decision is made regarding this meeting, they will publish their positions.
“The PDK is discussing this issue.
Of course, we still do not have a clear attitude about tomorrow's meeting, but as long as we have a position, we will come out as a body of headship regarding these developments”, she said.
Even the Social Democrat Initiative still has no stance on the invitation of incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti to gather at a discussion table to discuss the situation created by the COVID-19.
