Kurti: We'll answer the president for prime minister's candidate

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, through a Facebook status, has somehow returned response to the country's president, Hashim Thaci, in connection with sending the new mandate to form the government. Kurti has said the president is bypassing Article 82.2 of the Kosovo Constitution, which refers to the situation following the government's successful motion.

“What was necessary but not done is a violation. The president has decided to bypass Article 82.2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, which refers to the situation following the successful motion of no confidence in the government. The president's acting like the government depends on the Parliament, but that's what the people say democratic elections are a tool but not also worth”, Kurti wrote.

Kurti has said further that the president is not bringing his constitutional role and responsibility in line.

Whatever was unnecessary but done is also a violation. The president met with all parliamentary political parties, and later requested from our winning subject of elections to propose the candidate for prime minister. So the president is not neutral, he has political interest and personal goal, while he should have been impartial and procedural. Somehow he wants to believe that March 25th 2020 happened without February 3rd, 2020! However, we will respond, at an appropriate moment, at this time the” virus has ended Kurti.
