Kosovo's dismissed Prime Minister Albin Kurti has visited the Ferizaj municipality today, where he met with Mayor Agim Aliu.
Kurti, at this media conference, has acknowledged that in the Kosovo government's fiscal emergency package, no journalists are involved, with what he has said would happen in a government upcoming address.
We've supported all kinds of uniforms that are on duty in this common war. The fiscal and emergency package is cyclical, for this month and next month, and eventually for another month. I agree that we have to address this issue, so that even those we haven't included, we include”, he said.
Kurti has further said the measures taken by the Ferizaj municipality have affected the small number of coronary infected people in this municipality.
And we thank the mayor, Agim Ali, for his hospitality and his commitment to the common fight against Coronavirus. The measures taken at Ferizaj have certainly influenced the number of infected people to be low, and of course these measures must continue. I was also notified of the situation at the Ferizaj regional hospital and the work being done at the QKMF. The government in office has approved a very important measure in the form of an emergency fiscal package, where we care about those who are poor, those who work, and those who are endangered while working, but we also care about business”, he said.
Kurti also said that citizens cannot count on healing rather than prevention, because according to him, public health in Kosovo leaves much to be desired.
“Under the measures, aid for municipalities as well as for public companies that have problems for liquidity are envisioned. In this crisis, they must not lose normality. In April, we need to focus on key instructions, stay at home, stay clean and distance. The public health sector is not a satisfactory level, so we have to count more on prevention than on recovery. In April we must respect government decisions in office and expert councils. As the virus is not distinguishing from us, we should not perceive even in the fight of the Coronavirus”, he said.
